WHY IS IT CALLED BLACK FRIDAY?
There are two tales running on this. One is they say the Businessman marks their profits in black and losses in red. So they named it as Black Friday.
An official explanation tells us based on a tale from the 1960’s in Philadelphia. Police officers first used the term Black Friday as many people from suburbs entered the city and started shopping there, So gave rise to a new name Black Friday.
This is the first year where almost Black Friday started.
WHEN IS BLACK FRIDAY 2022 AND LINKS OF DEALS
Black Friday refers to the day after Thanksgiving day. And after the Black Friday, the coming Monday is called Cyber Monday.
Generally on Black Friday there are deals on clothing, kitchen appliances and utensils, gardening equipment and toys for kids.
On cyber Monday we see many deals regarding laptops, phones, iPads, and many electronic items.
Generally the Black Friday sale starts before Thanksgiving and continues on Black Friday and till Cyber Monday.
If Black Friday arrives on 13 th of the month then it is called “Friday the 13 th or Black Friday.” Generally people don’t like the date 13 th in Western countries. They feel it is an unlucky number. Some people while naming the rooms also delete the number 13th and they directly go to 14 th. Even if Black Friday falls under the date 13th they feel the same.
In 2022 the Black Friday is observed on November 25th 2022, the fourth Friday in the November month and Cyber Monday falls on November 28 th 2022.
You have to see the store timings on that particular day. Many stores lure customers with offers on a first cum first serve basis.
Many stand in lines before the stores start selling, they form a large queue because it is a first cum first serve basis.
You can get the cheapest prices on that day as many stores offer huge discounts. It is really worth buying at that time . Prestigious companies like Apple also throw discounts on their customers to attract them.
Many stores like Target, Walmart, Kohl’s , Krogers and so on offer almost 50% off on some categories and almost up to 60%off kids clothing at Carter’s store. Amazon also offers huge discounts on all categories on the day.
If you can’t stand in a Queue the items won’t last long. They will soon be out of stock. On Black Friday we cannot find many items in stock within minutes of sales start. By this you can understand how big the sale is.
Undoubtedly Black Friday affects the whole economy of the state. Since this day is associated with heavy sales, the sales margin rises high on that day.
All retailers focus on this big sales day and design their yearly budget giving importance to this day. Almost many people spend most of their savings on Black Friday. So surely it affects the economy.
According to google analytics “The amount Americans are planning to spend in 2020 is up $285 million compared to 2019, with American consumers expected to spend on average $664.77 in 2020.”
According to google data “American consumers spent $8.9 billion online during Black Friday 2021, less than the average spend in 2020 when the average spend surpassed all previous records, by hitting $9bn, up from $7.4bn in 2019 and $6.2bn in 2018.”
Compared to Black Friday and Cyber Monday Black Friday is best to shop for large items and all costly ones like mobiles, Televisions, Refrigerators, Sofas and all big household items.
It is obviously good for spending a good amount of money on clothing, kids toys and accessories also.
On Cyber Monday you can go with smaller gifts and Tech deals etc.,
